In today’s EEA Joint Commitee 55 acts were incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

Of the 55 acts incorporated today, a total of 20 are in the field of energy. We wish to highlight this positive development and recognise the joint efforts that have led to this conclusion. 🇳🇴🇪🇺🇮🇸🇱🇮

Yesterday, a new agreement was signed with Portugal under the #EEANorwayGrants 2021-2028.🇵🇹🇳🇴🇮🇸🇱🇮

€126.3M will support:
- Blue growth & maritime innovation
- Green transition
- Combating domestic/gender-based violence & Supporting vulnerable groups
- Diverse, sustainable arts & culture

The Norwegian Government has decided to accept up to 15 new patients from Gaza.

Norway is participating in an EU-led operation for the evacuation of patients from Gaza. Since 2024, 206 patients and 450 companions have been evacuated from Gaza and Egypt to 13 European countries.

Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide & HR/VPKaja Kallas signed a joint statement on foreign and security policy cooperation It states that over the past 30 years, our foreign and security cooperation has demonstrated its significance by strengthening European unity in addressing global challenges.

Three Norwegian companies were among the selected, as part of 15 renewable hydrogen production projects for public funding across the European Economic Area yesterday. The funding is from the Innovation Fund sourced from the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS). 🇪🇺🇳🇴

Creating space for belonging in Poland We have come a long way since the police raid on the Stonewall Inn Pub in New York, on 28 June 1969 - marking the first time LGBTQIA+ people fought back against discrimination, but we still have a long way to go to ensure equal rights for all. ✊ Nowhere in #Europe is this more evident than #Poland, with the country ranked last in the #EU for LGBTQIA+ rights by @ILGA-Europe for the 5th time in 2024. The #EEANorwayGrants Active Citizens Fund have this funding period supported over 2800 civil society projects empowering those who stand up for democracy, human rights and our liberties. Two of these are the Rainbow family Areas and Equality March-projects in Poland.
