Photography keeps me sane in a crazy, chaotic world. Mostly interested in astrophotography but all kinds of everything are a few of my favourite things π«πͺβοΈπ€οΈπβοΈ Based in beautiful, mystical Wiltshire, UK. A Year With My Camera, SheClicks

A Glossy Ibis on the Somerset Levels today, looking absolutely stunning in its breeding colours in the sunshine.

30.03.2025 20:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I took a few images of yesterdayβs partial solar eclipse from my garden. The central one was at the maximum coverage, about 30% at my location.
It was so nice to have good weather when there was something interesting happening up above, for a change π

26.03.2025 09:52 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβm on a mission to process all the images Iβve captured so far this year. Really pushed my little Redcat to its absolute limits with this one π
Very heavily cropped M97 and M108, taken back in February with the dSLR, but at least I got it!

IC 1805 - Treated myself to my first dedicated astro camera recently and this is my first image with it. Bit of a learning curve but Iβm rather impressed with the quality of this image compared to the same target with my dSLR. Going to have fun with this π

16.03.2025 00:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Lovely capture, Julia! Theyβre quite rare visitors over here but we had one at a local wetland reserve a few weeks back. It was hard to spot in the flock of usual Teal that were there but it was causing an awful lot of excitement π

31.2% Waxing Crescent Moon this evening. Canβt remember the last time we had so many clear nights in a row π

02.03.2025 14:31 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I was visiting my daughter last night and only had my mobile with me so the image doesnβt do justice to the scene, but the thin crescent moon and Jupiter looked absolutely stunning with the pinks and reds of the post sunset glow on the horizon
