An antidote to facism is more community.

If your org was getting Fed funding, you're losing that or will lose it soon. Philanthropy is in major retrenchment overall. Individual donors are already starting to save money and giving less. The situation is very bad.

According to CBP OPR, the woman was taken into custody in California after it was determined that she had overstayed a B1/B2 visitor visa. Agents transferred her to Arizona where she was detained. According to information provided by CBP, logs note that multiple welfare checks were conducted, however, CBP OPR was unable to verify if those checks actually occurred, and for some of them, a Border Patrol Processing Coordinator (BPPC) stated that he did not conduct the logged checks. Surveillance footage showed the woman create a noose and tie it around her neck, yet no medical response occurred for nearly two hours.

WOW. Rep. @jayapal.house.gov says CBP's internal affairs department found that a Chinese woman who had overstayed a visa was arrested by Border Patrol and hung herself in a cell. She wasn't found for two hours—even though the records reported multiple welfare checks (suggesting records falsified?).

The "centrist" electeds and pundits in the Dem party said that the "strategy" was to lay down and wait for Tr*mp to become unpopular.

I want everyone to STOP LISTENING to these people because they are ALWAYS wrong. ALWAYS. There are never any consequences for their bullshit.

Thousands of protesters gathered in Somerville, Massachusetts, demanding the release of Tufts University graduate student Rumeysa Ozturk, abducted by ICE for publishing an article criticizing Israel.

If you think what happened to Rumeysa Ozturk can't happen to you because you're a citizen and she's not, you are sorely mistaken. Ozturk was snatched off the street not for being a national security threat but for having a wrong opinion. If we don't put a stop to this, it's coming for all of us.

They are just disappearing people off the street. Having a hard time thinking about literally anything else.
