For my sociology of family class, I often use @renfro.bsky.social's book on Stranger Danger and "Canadianize" his perspective.

I get to share with my students this PSA from the 90s. "Stay Alert, Stay Safe!" is burned into my mind, as I think it is for many Canadian kids of the 80s and 90s.

I’ve said it a million times, but it’s worth saying again: Donald Trump is an odious stain on humankind—but not because he’s a “felon,” a capaciously and often arbitrarily and unfairly applied label that makes no distinction between habitual traffic offenders and serial murderers.
