Oops, I forgot to reply to this. Actually I don't know... anything unique? Sculptures, different materials, copper teapot or anything is a rare find. Tasty looking food would be awesome too. Sorry I can't be more specific on that. What's more important to me is good lighting setup to show the forms.

Question for artists:
What is a material or type of object you often feel like you search online for reference but can never find the right type of picture in a high enough resolution?

Still life with nice lighting setup to show the forms - can be anything. I prefer low key to med key lighting with defined shadows over still life with diffused light setup. It's surprisingly difficult to find a good one out there.

Hi all! In 2 hours I will be at the 2-week mark of my surgery, and as a result, I feel the desire to write down a small reflection of my recovery process. This process made me slow down, and I was reminded how important it is to cherish the boredom because that's exactly where creativity flourishes. And I don't know about you, but being put under always makes me feel like I was reset on a deep level. It's weird, I know, but I'm pretty sure it'll influence my art in a subtle, but good, way. Well, we shall see about that. 😂 Starting tomorrow, I’ll slowly pick up my brushes again. I’m not entirely sure where I’ll begin yet, but I’ll listen and see what shows up. My shop and commissions will be open again as I ease back in. 🎨

1 week post‑surgery! My cold/lukewarm‑only restriction is gone, and I no longer have to sleep half sitting‑up. I can finally sleep normally again. Healing well, just low‑energy. One more week till I can be active and paint! 🥰

I kept intending to post this one but then kept remembering at times I couldn’t follow through right away. But here it is after all that. Perhaps this one lives in this cave? I wonder if it lives alone? #cats #art #wings #oilpainting

Images tagged “oil paint” come through,even digital ones if they say “oil paint brushes” without specifying digital. I check profiles; non‑traditional artists get filtered to keep the feed clean. Traditional artists are harder to judge. Open to ideas and feedback. ✨

I wonder if you see more of UV range - I recall Monet's style changed more toward blue because of that and your white barks have that stunning blue/purple tint to them. I love it!

I'm happy with them so far. It's exactly why it took me months. because I wanted it to be perfect. 😆
