In other news, though, I just got "drop-in replacement fans" for my Voodoo5 5500. I'm always scared that the original fans will fail, and I won't even notice it!

It remains true that people and organized processes tend to scare me. There are going to be options for me, though. I'm just going to stop thinking about it.

Best not to think about work for the next two years and four months. Because I'll keep driving my thoughts in circles when I still can't do anything about it. I was holding in a lot with my latest posts.

I have some ideas on how I could work, but I still have two years and a little over four months until I can make them a possibility. Last time, I said that it was two and a half years. It's all getting closer!

I think that I'm doing a lot better as far as "the darkness consuming me" goes, but I could still work on that.

I know that I've flip-flopped here, but I'm mortified of dealing with people and organized processes.

So, you know how I started off here saying that I had a girlfriend? I don't do romantic love, and I've always known this... I was just under a lot of stress that I've been making my way out of. The stress affected my functioning...and I was looking for a relief from my stress. So no, no girlfriend.

The "Tell me about it." was regarding one's ability to On, though you were specifically talking about your ability to On. I'm sorry if there was a misunderstanding there.

Tell me about it. I have no idea if dual Thrustmaster T.16000m sticks and the Supermodel emulator could do, but I've sure thought about it! You have access to the real thing, though! That's awesome!

So, like I said, I sold things on eBay, got a Chanukah gift from my mother, and got a graduation gift from my mother's friend...and the agency involved wants proof of everything. In two and a half years, I'm going to get a danged job. Hopefully, I can keep my apartment until then!

Like in late 2020 when I bought a car in the least expensive manner possible. The way it was delivered was rickety as heck. I sure sold it quickly and a few months later, the Social Security Administration called my mother asking, "Does he own a car?"

If you've ever wondered why I do stupid things with money, I've been forced to live in certain insanity. I keep testing "the rules" that are imposed on me by doing things that are normal for people to do. I sold things on eBay. Now, I risk losing my apartment!?

(5/5) Arcade and pinball games are low commitment. When you get tired of one, you can just move on to the next one.

(4/5) When I'd go to Digital Press in Clifton, New Jersey, people turned "retro games" into a religion. I think that my personal dream of buying a house near Galloping Ghost very much ties into how I have difficulty handling most people socially.

(3/5) People have labeled the things that I tend to like "retro games." I find that to be a load of baloney. But I'm the person who gets exhausted when other people go too far labeling and categorizing things for me.

(2/5) I watch the people behind Hardware Unboxed benchmark the most popular games of the past five years. I tend not to like those graphical workhorse games. I've been testing DLSS 4.5 upscaling in the PlayStation 4 Spider-Man game because I got it free with a graphics card.

(1/5) One last thing before I'm done here for the night. I don't care much to know the rules of pinball games...and like I said just earlier, I don't have it in me to care about competing. So, I can't play a game of more than a few minutes in just about any pinball game. That's okay by me.

My mother still tells me that I have difficulty communicating with my peers. That's always been true. So, I thank you for withstanding my posts that aren't really "a conversation."

(4/5) Arguably worse than the commercialized 1990s was those "crazy kids from the 90s" having become "bros" in the 2000s! Yet I don't have much of an opinion on the 2010s...and that's because I didn't have forced social interaction during the 2010s. Thank goodness for that!

(3/5) Now...so much of my internal turmoil with hobbies, which should be pleasant, was that "the commercialized 1990s" was a nightmare for me! Yet, what I immerse myself in now is what works best for me. I've tried a lot of other things.

(2/5) I had so much difficulty with surveys because I'm not able to have an informed opinion on most things. I just don't process so much of society. So, the overall structure of competition is unnecessary for me.

(1/5) People wonder why it is that I have difficulty competing. They think that I'm afraid to lose. Well, back when I was in school, people also thought that surveys were so difficult for me to do, and that I often had difficulty stating preferences, because I was afraid to have an opinion.

Otherwise, I just replaced my Bazzite installation on my laptop with Fedora. I'd totally consider using Bazzite on a gaming handheld, but I want more flexibility on my laptop.

So, the intermittent black screens in Windows 11 for me were a result of the January 2026 Patch Tuesday update. I first suspected the Nvidia drivers because flaky Nvidia drivers were all over tech news a year ago. So, I disabled multi-plane overlay and re-enabled MPO when the issue persisted.

(4/4) Maybe, I'll now be able to set secondary IDE to UDMA 33 without Windows crashing because there's a lot less conversion going on with a CompactFlash to IDE card adapter than there is with an SD to IDE adapter.

(3/4) In case the fans on the card fail and I don't notice it, I'm considering buying a Voodoo5 5500 cooling shroud that's available on eBay. Also, though, I got a CompactFlash to IDE adapter with a 3D printed 5.25-inch drive bay enclosure because my SD to IDE adapter seemingly failed.

(2/4) I got the Noctua fans hooked up in my Windows 98 PC. It was @molten.pw back on Mastodon who advised me to have cool air blowing onto my Voodoo5 5500 through a case side panel fan, but I've since learned about positive pressure and negative pressure regarding fans in a PC.

(1/4) Yeah, I don't want to start a business. I was just trying to get myself motivated. Also, it's tough that I can't work for another two and a half years. So, I'm continuing to get by with hobby things.

I'm going to pull 64 GB of the 128 GB of DDR4 RAM in my PC and sell it. That should put me in a place where I can put aside $50 each month. That's a start. I'll also be making moves little by little to start a business.

I don't handle that kind of emotion in TV and movies well. It's why I can bear my niece and nephew watching Peppa Pig, but I can't handle my niece and nephew watching Frozen.

On a side note, my mother doesn't understand the Québécois sense of humor. She watched some goofy shows on the weekends, but I had to be upstairs and away from the TV during one of the dramas before my mother moved out of her house.
