Images of the TW Hya disk from NASA/STScI showing the presence of one shadow seen in 2016 and a series of two shadows seen in 2021. After five years a new shadow had appeared and the shadow seen in 2016 had moved from roughly the 10 o'clock position on the sky to the 7 o'clock position.

#HST Cycle 33 results are starting to post! I'm super pumped to announce that I'm leading a long term monitoring project of the TW Hya disk, tracking the evolution of its unique disk shadows πŸ”πŸ§ͺ #astrosci
