I wish these reporters would clearly point out that American consumers are paying the tariffs. China is not paying a cent in tariffs. With state backing they’ll go elsewhere for most things and ride it out for others. This is so dumb it’s embarrassing.

This is so frightening. And with the Supreme Court’s complete capitulation to the current occupant there is one left to stop this clearly illegal behavior.

Richard Seymour Β· Baseline Communism: David Graeber’s Innovations GraeberΒ seems to have had most fun as an outsider, a movement anthropologist wending his way among anticapitalist...

β€˜He wonders why useful labour is so undervalued and useless labour so heavily remunerated. Is capitalism doing something supposedly foreclosed by the profit motive?’

This is NOT true. The U.S. government said in court that it made a mistake. In public, however, they keep lying about it. Not only lying, but ramping up the lie to the point that this man is now the most dangerous monster in world history. It’s frightening how comfortable they are in doing this.

The DOJ lawyer who made the mistake of answering the court's questions about Abrego-Garcia candidly (eg yes he was mistakenly deported, a fact the Administration already has acknowledged), which got him put on administrative leave, has now been fired, ending his 15-year DOJ career..

Two Dictators Walk Into a Bar... On yesterday’s sickening Oval Office summit.

"After all these years in and around politics, I’d like to think I have a pretty strong stomach, but yesterday was sickening... This was not newsreel footage of two dictators meeting somewhere far away and long ago. This was yesterday. Here in the Oval Office."

If Kristi Noem can go down to El Salvador and take concentration camp selfies, then DOJ can figure out where Abrego Garcia is.

Just start jailing people for contempt of court until they find out.

Good. Now how about the same energy for these β€œdeported” immigrants?

The tactic is clear: Lie to the media (β€œHe is a gang member”), but tell the judge something else (β€œOkay, um, we made a mistake”). If you were told that you put an innocent man in a hell-hole prison, would you respond this way? This man is ill.

11.04.2025 22:40 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

This is what they do: They say one thing to the media (β€œHe’s a gang member”), and another thing to a judge (β€œWe made a mistake”). It’s maddening that this continues to work on people.

Wouldn’t doubt it. Who is going to investigate? Not securities and exchange. This was always one of the warnings about tariffs: the shakedown motive.

The Gilded Age is his Golden Age. He really is similar to those Robber Barons in that he follows a version of Herbert Spencer’s β€œsurvival of the fittest” in which they all thought they were superior because they were rich. Tech bros doing the same.
