Hell yeah, damn nuts! I think he ended up moving recording out of there after he had a conversation with Sharon’s family (which just shows Reznor’s character even when he was young and wild), but I believe in setting and what it can bring to work. That home made its mark.

Yep. Which at 13 or so, hearing “Jeremy” for the first time blew my mind. It frightened me somehow—but in a good way.

I would read the Billboard Alt. top whatever in Friday’s paper. Saw TDS topping the charts. I’m not sure I had even heard/seen Closer when I bought the CD. I heard PHM years later.

And one my favorite GIFs of all time to boot! 😂

It was the first time, at 16, that I purchased something that I thought I should not be listening to. Something about it troubled me. It did not sound like Nirvana. Or Pearl Jam.

It took some maturity to really feel it and appreciate the themes that evolve and grow more timeless with each listen.
