Attended the No Kings protest in Columbia, MO today. It was heartening seeing so many people of all walks of life turn out.

Does anyone know why the Jefferson City, MO No Kings protest was cancelled? I had planned to go. Now I’m going to the one in Columbia, MO.

I’m thinking about the cuts to Medicaid. One thing I know: if you give money to poor people, they spend it locally. So if giving money to healthcare providers isn’t what Congress wants to do, could we convince them to just give the money directly to the poor? Support local businesses!

Make Elon pay for DOGE mistakes: Fire and rehire, court cases and appeals. Taxpayers should not have to pay for DOGE inefficiencies.

Draft 2: How poor and weak America must be. How else do we explain that we cannot keep our word to our allies, neighbors, employees, veterans, immigrants…

Draft 3: How greedy and immoral America must be that we attack our neighbors, betray our allies, and lie about our mistakes?

I am going to the protest on April 5th at the Missouri Capitol. This morning, my heart is sad and I’m looking for help wording a poster.
