SOS! Save our summers! Extreme weather is changing summer, but it doesn’t have to steal it. Let’s keep our families safe and protect the summers our kids deserve.

Carbon pollution from burning fossil fuels doesn’t just warm the planet — it pollutes the air our kids breathe. More heat means more smog, more wildfire smoke, and more health risks for little lungs. #ClimateChange

Dr. Burt studies Arctic clouds and sea ice to understand climate change and makes STEM more inclusive at CSU. Her love for science started young—reading the weather section with her grandfather—and now she’s passing that curiosity to her daughter. Science helps shape a better future for our kids!

Impossible. /imˈpäsəb(ə)l/ Adjective. Things very difficult to deal with, like keeping a clean floor, getting our kids NOT to complain while eating their veggies, or, you know, protecting their entire future.
(So basically, a mom’s regular Tuesday).

Solar energy is clean, reliable, and always there when we need it. Using solar power, we can gain true independence from polluting energy sources (like oil, gas, and coal).

These conditions coupled with the Santa Ana winds helped the LA wildfires spread rapidly. According to a new study released by World Weather Attribution, the recent fires were about 35% more likely due to human-made warming, which is primarily driven by the burning of fossil fuels.

Climate change doesn’t ignite wildfires but it makes them more likely to happen. We’re coming off the hottest year in recorded history, which is prolonging dry seasons and drought. In California, climate change led to record dry conditions and increased the number of fire-prone days.

What does climate change have to do with the LA wildfires? Weren’t they started by arsonists?
