Bird Flu Enters a New Phase, Scientists Say
A pandemic is not inevitable, scientists say. But the outbreak has passed worrisome milestones in recent weeks, including cattle that may have been reinfected.
The freeze on NIH funding and the federal "blackout" on external communications from health agencies should alarm every American. As the bird flu outbreak continues to spread, the risk of a new pandemic grows—underscoring the critical need for research investments and transparent communication.

No-tillage farming enhances widespread nitrate leaching in the US Midwest - IOPscienceSearch
No-tillage farming enhances widespread nitrate leaching in the US Midwest, Yawen Huang, Wei Ren, Laura E Lindsey, Lixin Wang, Dafeng Hui, Bo Tao, Pierre-Andre Jacinthe, Hanqin Tian
Oh boy, the no-till booster club is really going to love this one.
“Our results revealed that no-tillage (NT) or reduced tillage intensity (RTI) decreased nitrate runoff but increased nitrate leaching compared to conventional tillage”
Using cover crops doesn’t help with the leaching either.
