yep, because businesses don't want to risk training their staff to use anything else when "gets the job done most of the time" is good enough for them.

realistically, the most important things in microsoft's ecosystem beyond windows itself is that you get utilities like sharepoint, outlook and onedrive bundled with your office software, which they also use. not a lot of other companies offer this. pretty much the only other option is google.

this industry standard also means that, for public schooling systems, governments buy tons of licenses from microsoft to use their software. microsoft makes ungodly amounts of money from this. adobe also does it, which is why their suite is the same for creative fields.

the whole "microsoft ecosystem" (windows, office, outlook, sharepoint, etc.) is industry standard in the education industry itself in most of the world and also pretty much every industry that uses computers. it is, unfortunately, the easiest software suite to prepare students for the workforce.
