To everyone who's told me they're sad that the Puffin Classics range is ending after eight titles (four of them mine!) - all i can suggest is - write in and tell Puffin! Tell them you want more! It can't hurt to let them know that there's a keen readership!

As someone who has read this for the first time recently, Its very interesting what Darvill-Evans can do with the knowledge from editing the range. Also, it's a great book with an interesting setup however the villain is mediocre.
Annoyingly, I had Daak's return spoiled by the legal page

The guidelines at the back are the best part of the book and the most interesting.

The unexpected return of fan-favourite frighteningly aggressive and horribly beweaponed Dalek-killer—Ace!
Abslom Daak also appears. Ish.
What is it with on-the-page companions being abruptly aged-up? Sharon, Sam, and here in between, Space Ace. She’s the most successful of the three. Ish.

Talking books with two hot Scots! The editor is writing this one so surely nothing can go wrong…

It set up something that should have been the dynamic for Capaldi all along.

Instead of the "Am I a good Malcolm Tucker tribute act?" of S8, we have a Doctor who is much more cosier yet aloof. Never mind a UNIT family, I wish we had more of the Uni family & the season using the Uni as a base more!

History 101 brings such a unique use of time travel to change perception rather than history itself, & really paints a vivid picture of Civil War Spain. One I'd recommend without needing to know much EDA lore!
