I played my first cash session in a few weeks - booked a nice win and recorded it for vlog 30. Lots of great spots and decisions to talk about. But first, I need to finish vlog 29. Soon!

Just imagine every right wing nutjob whipping out their guns and shooting at every flying object in the sky that they can't see clearly. Somehow that sounds okay to them; even sounds like a legitimate solution to some.

I'd prefer a return to the 1950s where corporate tax was 58% and individual federal income tax capped around 90% for the most obscene earners - You know, that decade they keep referring to when they screech "MAGA". The more you make, the more you should pay.

At first I thought my struggle would be maintaining empathy - I think that arose from the anger and disappointment, but isn't it my struggle any longer. Now I'm focused on setting the example; the fallible and sometimes stubborn example of trying to be a good human.

Finally got a win baby! Feels good!

I find that the biggest battle before me as we face the the next four years is this: I don't want to lose my Empathy. In fact, I find myself having to fight to keep it and utilize it in my daily interactions. If you can relate, then say this with me:
BE A GOOD HUMAN!

I firmly believe that every boardgame should come with 2 copies of the printed rules. Yes, I can go online while someone else uses the rulebook, but I want what I want.

Finally taking Calico off of the Shelf of Shame - Kiddos seem to like it - Very reminiscent of Sagrada. 7.5/10 will probably play a lot.

First play of Quacks of Quidlenburg with kiddo and the nephews - Took a couple turns to fully process the game flow, but I think we got it. Interesting concept. 6.5/10 - Will play again, but not optimistic this will fit into a regular rotation.

I just rewatched Monty Python's Life of Brian - It's one of those movies like Idiocracy that applies to the current state of affairs in the world - Even though full of laughs, I can't help but feel sad about the continued parallels with modern society...

Lots of gamblers amongst the MAGA - Seems like every game I have to balance not tapping the glass and speaking up to address statements that cross lines - Its a stressful line of work.
