That’s an interesting point - I wonder how many did nominate someone for the pre-ID process…and how many were nominated for that and declined at that point to participate.

I listen to enough ELCA conversations to not be at all surprised at Bishop Curry’s election. But I think it’s worth noting that the person elected was not one of those who participated in the process as a pre-identified candidate.

The livestream for Monday’s opening worship service at #elcacwa25 started with half an hour of music, and a little bit of crowd noise was audible. The automated transcript on the YouTube livestream is great!

You of all people know that effective, glitch-free usage of technology is really our core strength as a denomination…🙄

I’m just reading the list now in the app. It took several minutes for it to refresh. I think PB Eaton said how to force a refresh during the plenary, but I wasn’t paying attention because I didn’t have or care about the app at that point!

Thanks! That’s an app I didn’t have yet, different from the previous “ELCA Guide” app already on my phone from (I think) Rostered Minister’s Gathering or the “Guidebook” app from a previous ELCA Youth Network Extravaganza. So many guide apps!

They have voting machines for basically instant results.

Did they just vote on an amendment to the rules while in recess? Or did the chair by allowing the point of inquiry and then motion nullify her declaration of being in recess from a moment earlier? #elcacwa25
