When you actually watch algorithms, you see the problem with ceding human thought. Reddit thinks because I engage r/uofm and r/AnnArbor that I am interested in other colleges and college towns.

It figured out a pattern but has no human context to understand why the pattern doesn’t apply.

Yesterday I happened to have a friend’s phone and snapped some portraiture of her holding her 5 year old while we rode on a boat when she wasn’t looking. Some people steal phones and later you find silly photos. If I steal your phone, you’ll later discover a candid photoshoot.

No technical term; we haven’t yet found an orthographical system which has letters with neither a graphemic or phonemic component but we’ll let you know!

I don’t know who needs to hear this today because I needed to hear it several weeks ago, but laundry detergent caps actually SAY to toss them in with the laundry. They get fully rinsed that way, turns out!

I hope this is an okay reply but like…this is one of the main reasons I am so angrily pro-gender diversity as a cishet. Sports are about doing things with your body. Trans bodies expand the range of what’s acceptable for cis bodies. Sports should be for every body. It’s important for everybody.

I will write about this soon but one week generated about 10 emails sent to groups (and thus, bypassing my filter), mostly of an “FYI” nature and on Monday, I get to start clean.
