I think a fair complaint about Mando S3 and Ahsoka is that it was made for fans like you and I who watched Clone Wars and Rebels; not casual fans. For them, they had to do "homework" to understand why those characters (Bo, Hera, Sabine, etc) were great. The character work was not done in the shows.
