I used to have a lot more like new shoes on the table, black cats, mirrors, salt etc. I'm an anxious wreck by nature and I'm sure this had something to do with it 😋 What was worse was stepping on a crack, because my mum did, in fact, end up breaking her back. Coincidence, but terrifying.

I have certain superstitions due to being brought up with a Spiritualist "white witch" mum. I'm slowly getting better with it, but still won't walk under scaffolding or ladders.
