I struggle with the same and a little of “it’s not good enough” mixed in. I hope you’re able to move past it and take in some of the good advice posted. Don’t get to the point where there is art block from thinking nothing you produce is good. It’s harder to break the self critic when you get here.

Like the color palette makes me feel like spring is peaking around the corner.

Beautiful work! It looks like a page from a fairy tale book.

“Perfectionism is synonymous with control and fear.” When I accepted this was a trait I needed to break it made a difference not only in my art but also my personal life.

I’m getting closer to something…I can feel it. My brush strokes are getting looser and my perspective wasn’t too bad. I had to keep telling myself not to get into the nitty gritty details and just let go.

Old habits die hard been doing this since childhood except back then it used to be 2-3 books for car rides. Because what if I finished the one I was reading?! And then possibly finished the second…or I wasn’t in to it? Or changed my mind which one was next? This brain of mine 😆

Your brush strokes and how you lay paint are my goal level. I have no trouble see what’s being projected in the picture but you didn’t get in the weeds with finicky details to achieve it. You have great work.

I do envy their floating skill. When I float my bottom sinks lower then my upper body. And when I try and dive to the bottom my lower half wants to float back up and not let me stay under. Go figure 🤷🏾‍♀️

Now just add another owl and two owlets into the frame and thats my whole family in competition for that cookie.

There’s still positive in the world! As someone who has to travel to a different state for my trans daughters care all this has me on pins and needles.
