Sometimes use a DI system to share the object which owns the state between layers (not environment). Sometimes pass “action” closures although this feels gross/hacky. Not a fan of preferences for this.

Yeah agree. The bosses have been a blast so far.That said not sure I could beat them on steam deck. Does it run better than POE1 on there?

Less a question and more an advice request - but it seems to me actor reentrancy is “easy” to conceptually understand but then miss during practical use cases. Do you have any articles on this or “rule of thumb” type design guidelines to avoid common pitfalls here?

Yeah I vaguely remember the main rough edge here was @ObservedObject getting the MainActor annotation but the View protocol didn’t. Looks like that changed in Swift 6 though 🎉

Yeah meant the original question more in a “view store” ala TCA type of object not a more formal model data store. Thanks for the clarification.

Sorry for potentially naive question but how do the various feeds work? Can you opt a post into a specific feed or is it up to the feeds algo to pick up the post?

Should your “thing that holds view state” (view model, data store, etc) be an actor? Specifically thinking in a SwiftUI context but not sure it matters to the question.
