I think a more restrictive or difficult form assures a large enough Senate minority will still have some level of influence, should the majority attempt to sideline them in bad faith.

I don't want to see the filibuster ended. I do want to see it much more difficult to invoke. (Going from a speaking filibuster to merely declaring a filibuster made knocking over the gameboard far too easy.)

How much damage do you think this did to the recent morale boost the pro-democracy movement gained from the off-year elections, especially in terms of public involvement?

Honestly, it was like finally starting to close on the finish line, and out of nowhere, a member of your own team trips you.

Please do not let the actions of eight obsolete, milquetoast senators abate the enthusiasm that has been building among the pro-democracy, pro-liberty, pro-choice people that this fight is worth fighting, and that we have a strong chance if we act in numbers and don't give up.

This is not a plug for my birthday. I'm more concerned about people whose means are now too strained obtaining enough food. Thanks in advance to anyone who donates.
