thank you berry 😭 it's been a long road

i feel that Krys. As I grow older, I am feeling more and more at home with myself. More comfy in my skin. I mean don't get me wrong, I love my ocs and im sure you also love your idealised self but there's something more profound with loving YOU. US. I'm proud of us ;u ;

But lately, it's been different. In a good way. This is me. All pochari and cringe but as I draw myself more and more I smile and think "damn she's so cute". It's the first time I've thought of myself that way.
So I feel good. It's a big step, I think ; u ;

i dont wanna be lonely so I drew my boyfriend-to-be. It kinda just happened. He also likes coffee.

I'm seeing myself. Really seeing myself lately. I didn't think I could be my muse. I used to think "i love beautiful things so I will draw them" but that list didn't include me.

anyway, here are two new OCs.
Me, my sona. Beni-sensei who is a manga artist.
And her boyfriend-to-be, Caelum. He wears Diptyque's Orphéon. He's a Jaguar beastman. He likes coffee, poetry and watersports. And Beni, well. Beni is me 😆✨

But as I explore more of myself, how I struggle with self-image and self-worth, I find myself for the first time, actually drawing "ME" in all my chub and tum glory.
Might be insignificant at first sight.

But I feel that this is such a profound shift for me.

How do you enjoy media? Do you self-insert? Do you have a 'buffer'? I've always enjoyed media with an OC. I feel like I want to always be a spectator. Like a voyeur who loves beautiful things but don't believe I deserve to be in them.
