Oh my gosh, what an absolute MESS. If you haven't, go into your settings for sure and check the App Website Permissions and see if there is anything linked that you don't recognize! I've read that recently something as simple as a linked photo editing app can flag your account

Yeah I did deep dives on here/Reddit. It was clear from the messaging I got that the whole process was tech-based and didn't involve reported posts. I definitely see how AI could be a helpful moderation tool on a platform so large but their appeals process is an issue that NEEDS to be solved.

I did see this! My account wasn't flagged for CSE but rather for allegedly breaking the rules about "fake accounts". But it all definitely leads back to AI incorrectly suspending/terminating accounts with zero human oversight or intervention.

Also assuming it was my likes on political posts, it's the only thing I ever really did on Threads! A couple of random, harmless replies to an artist wanting to make NPR merch and some authors I follow. Certainly nothing even remotely warranting a suspension, much less account termination.

I'm so sorry to you, too 🥺 They also gave me the "fake account" spiel, despite providing the account verification info requested. My personal IG and Facebook appear to be unaffected (for now) but thinking I should download and store all my photos and memories today just in case.

It's okay, but I do appreciate it! I'm frustrated, but maybe this was just the push I needed to finally part ways with Meta. I will miss the connections I made through my Booksta; more worried about whether my personal account will also be impacted due to same IP/phone number.

I also appealed because the TOS absolutely do not require use of your full name to open an account. My appeal still got denied under the fake account policy and my accounts are gone now 🤷🏼‍♀️

So unfortunately my appeal failed within 45 minutes and the accounts are gone 🤷🏼‍♀️ 18 months of work out the window. Huge bummer but not going to bother with rebuilding there if I can't even expect to get a human being to review my bogus violation and help me!
