I have this book but I grabbed it on a whim and wasn't sure if I'd ever get around to reading it. It just seemed interesting but I couldn't find anyone who'd even heard of it so I was reluctant.

So thank you, now I know to put it up higher on my pile!

The FARC by Garry Leech is a quick intro to Columbian politics and the FARC, but if you're looking for balanced info, note that this book is heavily skewed to showing the FARC in the best light possible. Real rose tinted glasses here.

Deadly Beat - Inside the Royal Ulster Constabulary by Richard Latham.

I was really excited when I grabbed this book, but honestly, it was... ok. He definitely needed an editor, but the parts about the RUC were worth reading.

So WW1 is done now, and I've got 1225 left. I also found a bunch of WW2 that I had missed on the first go arounds too.

I've sorted 449 since i started... and it only gets harder from here!

LOL 2015? I've got books on my TBR pile since the late 80s and early 90s!

I took Ketwigs book with me to summer camp in 89 and it still has the bookmark in it from where I left off!

How about this, since I'm pushing ahead and working to clear out my unsorted book pile...

So the final tally of WW2 books in my unsorted pile was 358! That's around 21%... gonna go yank out the WW1 books now! I've got 1316 to go through.

July had some really interesting books, and while I strayed away from my reading topic, I sort of stayed true with the Three Day Promise. History cannot just be looked at from the perspective of the foreign powers, but those that live there need a voice as well.

It might just be the LED flicker rate with the camera, but man, I'm hard pressed to identify the steady burn red light on the Medic unit.

No other book has affected my perception of the Vietnam War and that's political climate as much as Luan's has. Especially his breakdown of propaganda's effects

There was a time when I really though I could have every book tagged, sorted, and everything nice, neat and perfect on the shelves and in Calibre.

But there's 27,705 right now.

And there are no functioning plugins that will Dewey Decimal or LCC this bitch automatically.

I'm currently down to 1398! I've managed to wrangle 276 books... which was easy as I just went through about half the books and grabbed everything WW2 related. I've got about 600 left to run through and find every WW2 book, and then I'll pick another big topic like ... I dunno... WW1 probably!
