Lovely ceramic bowl with a variety of glazes in blues and greens in an intricate pattern
Love when the kiln gods play nice.
Glaze magic.
10.5 inch bowl, reclaim stoneware, various Mayco glazes. Hot cone 5, not quite 6.

The good thing is if it doesn't fit the spout, it can always just be a vase!

So my clay has a shrinkage rate of 15% so I figure out how big the spout is (they are kinda forgiving, but you do want it to be tight)
So let's say your spout measures 10 cm across (I'm making up numbers!)
Then you divide 10 by 0.85 to tell you how big to throw.

Green glazed two piece planter in the snow in front of an oak tree.
Green glazed stoneware planter on snowy brick steps
We don't get snow here in SE Georgia very often! Makes a nice backdrop. This 2 piece planter was made with reclaim, glazed with my favorite Coyote glaze- Desert Sage. I also used my @mudtools.bsky.social drag tool for texture
