I don’t get why some people who I work with insist on using English when their English speaking and writing levels are subpar and they haven’t learned shit in a good 2 years.

Using a language is one thing but trying stuff is I guess another.

“hey what’s up… I know you can’t reply and I know you’re elsewhere but if we ever spoke again I’d love to talk about what’s happened recently and all the stuff you missed out on. I’m just happy.

I hope we can meet one day again.”

I sometimes send messages back to old friends who have passed away just to remember.

Their DM logs are forever stuck with the last thing we spoke.

I wrote “goodnight” to one person. They replied “sweet dreams”

Another I wrote “I hope your day is going well!”

They replied “thanks!”

They’re pretty rare! I’ve only seen a few in the wild back years ago then I found one going for 60000 yen ($560?? Currently) and then it broke…

These units don’t have factory resets or anything to help with fixing issues.

So I found another one pop up a year later and snagged it. Bit battered

In addition to that insane keyboard I also have this. I just wanted a set of faders that output midi.

No tiny LEDs, no screens, no menu diving, no additional setup required, no BS. Just faders that work.

There’s now a ton of control I can do

I just wanted 144 buttons to use (it’s a ortho c144 custom keyboard. I’m using it mainly for triggering video on Resolume Arena. Also to look silly)

I have two of these. One is broken and the other is alive but battered

(They’re KORG Kaoss Pad Entrancers. The only KORG device that I know of that processes both video and audio at the same time)

I feel that Shake didn’t have much ground to begin with. Apple bought it from Nothing Real, attempted to appeal to the VFX market when Linux and Windows systems were cheaper. Apple then just gave up or something

There’s no clear evidence to support that claim but those two systems were cheaper.

QC was actually by a different guy! It was originally called PixelShox. His project was later bought by Apple and was used for years then sadness happened

The only program that felt real. :(

Apple originally had a full-on node compositor called Shake that they eventually discontinued in favor of tools like Motion and FinalCut

Today I present to you my latest purchase: the last Shake release.

I can now use my PowerPC G4 Mac to the fullest advantage.
