This morning in Austin on the way home from voting. (I, not the kayakers, as far as I know.)

I did this 24x36 oil #painting based on a movie set from the '80s on the banks of the Rio Grande in BigBend State Park. A handful of westerns were filmed there. This building is all that remains after floods and safety precautions. I'm planning my 22nd camping trip to Big Bend this spring. #art

I painted this image of my father's Rockports many years ago. I "inherited" them in 2005 when he passed, and they fit me perfectly. I finally pitched them a few days ago after plenty of repairs. #art #painting

Car-climbing at Cadillac Ranch near Amarillo. Bring or buy a can of spray paint, and add another layer to the ten half-buried Caddies. I was leery of standing behind the masterpieces, worried that one would break off at ground level and squish me like a Texas tarantula crossing a highway.

Even though I had no idea of how I would incorporate this roller skate into #art, I was compelled to rescue it from an antique store. A few weeks later, I pulled out the pliers from a toolbox to fix a lamp, and the concept for the #painting struck me. "Needle Nose" oil on canvas, 24 x 30.
