Hand sewn vintage style tie in a fun changeable/shot silk

A pair of flat-soled shoes with long, squared toes. The front half of the shoes and the backs of the heels are covered with black kid leather, and the rest of the shoe is tan wool.

Footwear Friday once again! These everyday shoes were owned by Margaret Gorsline Baker (1820-1853) of Stillwater, NY during her short adult life. Their square toes and flat soles are au courant with the fashions of the 1830s-1850s. www.facebook.com/fenimoreartm... 🗃️🪡

Did a bit of a "thrift flip" and turned a rather sad and damaged vintage dress someone gifted me into a late 18th century outfit

I could do the stitching in black, however, I have a couple other options...

I will be making another set of 1830s stays next, but this time in black 🖤

Since the general consensus is that tarrifs don't affect US orders under 800 at this time.... I might consider doing a couple US stay or waistcoat or other lower value garment and pattern. For Fall 2025 shipping.

Finally listing my fully boned stay sample.
I'd like to see this go for 800 as I'd normally charge 1200+ for fully boned stays. Plus insured shipping.
These are probably some of my best work and got me several jobs.

Moving Sale Commissions!
I am taking a limited number of additional commissions to be made this summer!
I am particularly interested in making waistcoats, regency and 1830s stays, banyans and robes, fashion/fantasy boned bodices, and coats*
I am also now introducing cravats and vintage ties!

All of my materials will now come from Canadian stores and suppliers! This is entirely possible, though most of the materials are coming from Europe or Asia. While my material costs may go up a bit, they will be supporting other small Canadian businesses.

Yes, I know, I closed commissions last year and had no plans on restarting. Unfortunately due to various complications in my personal life, having to cancel my outstanding US orders, and moving into the second most expensive city in Canada, I am taking some more for a limited time!

* for more advanced corsets and tailoring, I prefer to do mockups and fittings. If you are in the GTA, I may be able to arrange an in person fitting!
