'Disturbing' rise in abusive teen relationships - the warning signs to watch out for Exclusive data shared with Sky News by domestic abuse charity Refuge reveals a disturbing rise in incidents between April 2024 and March 2025.

Research by Refuge looking at domestic abuse amongst young women & girls.

- 49% said perp threatened to harm them.
- 35% said perp threatened to kill them.
-62% of 16-25yr olds surveyed who reported physical violence, half said they were strangled or suffocated.
