I think they've genuinely done the math that this headline still generates more clicks and outweighs unsubscribes. There is honestly no other explanation for why they troll with headlines like this, even when its disconnected from the actual content of the articles.

Like believing RFK's nomination would lead to a reduction in vaccine hesitancy is objectively an incredibly stupid hypothesis for anyone with a basic understanding of how the human mind works.

The entire argument was so stupid on its merits. Just think of any other situation. WHY would anyone on the fence on vaccines look at RFK's appointment, and come away MORE confident in vaccines? His appointment was VALIDATION that he must have been right about his comments about vaccines.

I'm just such a doomer on this stuff. I don't see how you can combat the structural electoral advantages Republicans already have, SCOTUS being a perma lock for 40 years+, an information environment that is just beyond repair, and an electorate that is completely lacking in self respect.

One thing thats frustrating about protests is they always feel disconnected from anything actually happening. This is what should cause the mass "no king" type protests instead of the ones that happen randomly. You can't just expect a handful of electeds to continue this without popular support.
