I started with Cat Sebastian’s m/m mid-century NYC books (We could be so good/You should be so lucky) and they’re excellent (really good slow burn build for both, and without a lot of rom-com conflict tropes). And thanks for the rec!

Do you have specific recs for KJ Charles? With so many books to pick from I’m not sure where to start. Also have you read Cat Sebastian’s books?

I have rag shuttles, so it’s easier if I sew the fabric together first. Just a simple basting stitch, and I’ll hold off on cutting the thread after each join until all the ends are sewn together.

Found this childhood picture with my grandpa at his loom. He wove rag rugs, and I remember helping cut strips of fabric for weaving when I visited. This weekend, I started rug weaving with recycled denim.

Handspun skein of yarn with grey, blue, pink, and purple colors.

Realized I took a pic of a #TourdeFleece skein from a couple days ago and forgot to post it. I love the subtle bi pride color pooling that’s happening in this one.

Handspun merino fiber on an electric spinning wheel. The fiber is multicolored with light blue, pink, plum purple and brown tones. There is an unspun braid of the same colors beside the e-spinner.

Working on a merino/bamboo blend. 2oz down, 2 to go, then I plan to spin the grey merino in the pic and ply both together.

Today is the start of Tour de Fleece (goal is to spin fiber every day the Tour de France rides). My personal goal is to get through as many of these fiber braids as I can.
