Having followed the healthcare debate since the 1980s the only thing I can write is Americans simply are incapable of having a mature reasonable debate about fixing their dysfunctional healthcare system.

Joe Walsh had a reckoning. Liz Cheney stood up to Trump. So it's possible MTG will evolve. Apologizing to David Hogg would show some sincerity. But will she really be able to separate herself from the MAGA base? I'm sceptical.

Truly unfathomable the cruelty being inflicted on Latinos and immigrants. One wonders if America will be able to recover from this brutality without descending into armed conflict.

I believe the Democrats totally mishandled the shutdown from beginning to end. I think the Dems fatal flaw was their insistence on meeting and negotiating with Trump and Republicans, attempting to appear reasonable. A lot is going to happen before midterms so Americans need to buckle up.
