People celebrating SS potentially going away don’t seem to understand they pay into it every single paycheck. How will they respond if it’s taken away and they aren’t repaid every cent they’ve paid into it?

23.02.2025 23:04 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0On the subject of US health insurance. I was quoted $1300 a month with a $3000 deductible through Premera for me and a spouse, a 20% increase from last year. You have kids? Forget it, because who can afford $2200 a month on top of everything else? Why are people ok with this setup?

Welcome back the days of paying completely out of pocket for pre-existing conditions. I’ve heard stories of children with cancer being denied prescriptions for anti-nausea medication. Evil.

Opill is a progesterone based birth control pill that can be bought directly off the shelf at places like Walgreens/Costco. If you have concerns over access to BC this is something to look into. Stock up reasonably I guess?

Been doing this with Costco receipts and plan on letting people know what they voted for.
Will it be our turn to start leaving “I did that” stickers behind?
It’s insulting to call yourself a Christian when you choose to ignore the teachings of Jesus. Donating a can of beans to the yearly food drive does not offset the sin of voting against the rights and wellbeing of your neighbor.

I don’t understand that line of thinking on their end. I will GLADLY admit I’m wrong if none of what’s likely to happen actually happens.

...and the public didn't tell BOTH OF THEM to fuck off.
