Like Elsa, Rumi also became very popular during Halloween this year, with many girls dressing up as her. I’m really glad to see that others have been inspired by her the same way the snow queen herself did. 💜❄️

It’s pretty crazy how KPDH has reached Frozen levels of popularity at this point. Even before it blew up, some have started to compare Rumi and Elsa, both in terms of their struggles and how they learned to break free from them. It’s very fascinating.

That’s just one of the many reasons why Pixar is better off without John. I highly recommend watching said video if you haven’t already. I applaud @lazybonesinc.bsky.social and @animatedantic.bsky.social for putting all of this history together!

After knowing that, I think the credit should really go to Joe and Jorgen for their passion to lead the project to begin with. Still a great movie imo, but it’s really their movie at that.

It’s fascinating how Joe Ranft and Jorgen Klubien were actually the ones that originally conceived the film and wanted to be at the helm, but John just took all the credit for himself, even putting his name above the two in the writing credits when he wasn’t even involved with that area that much.

While I’m disappointed on how the movie turned out, I honestly don’t think it’s one of the worst films from the studio nor the year the film was released.

It’s fully ok to hate the film.

Just don’t overhated. That’s all I’m asking.
