Yes! When I lived in Florida, I used to go to a European grocery store to buy buckwheat and pickled beets. Both of them were amazing, and the price on buckwheat was much lower than I could find elsewhere. Buckwheat is still one of my favorite foods 😊

That sounds so horrific. I know the pets are euthanized first, but can you imagine someone watching a video of animals hunting their prey in the wild and then thinking that happened to their beloved pet. 😥

Oh wow! Before I went vegan, biscuits and gravy were a classic since I grew up in a Southern household. I never even thought about making a vegan version.

I see a lot of similarities with Bernie and aoc. Neither of them is perfect, and I think it's important to call out their faults. At the same time, we have to look at the big picture, and I think both of them are doing a lot more good than harm.

I don't remember the exact study, but I read somewhere that the flu vaccine is actually associated with lower dementia risk. My theory is that even when we successfully fight off an infection, it creates inflammation that affects our long-term health. That's why getting vaccinated is so important.

A plate of wild rice with carrots, celery, onions, and peas. The food is very tasty, but the cook neglected to properly chop the veggies, and they are in big chunks instead of aesthetically pleasing slices.

Wild Rice Wednesday! That's a bit of a tongue twister now isn't it? In any case, this was really yummy. Slicing the veggies thinner next time would probably give it +10 aesthetic points, but it was still pretty tasty. 😁

Those are simply lovely! I've always thought that pictures of the city skyline at sunset/sunrise are simply the best.

That's really interesting. I always thought that accessibility and affordability would encourage people to eat healthier, but it seems like there might be a crowding out effect. If people feel a strong desire for junk food, it doesn't matter how cheap or accessible healthy produce is.

I know this is going to sound farfetched, but what if being starved could potentially make pre-existing conditions worse? 😮

I absolutely love tattoos on other people, but I don't think I would be able to do it myself. 😂. Do you think the tattoos or the piercings hurt worse?

The other piercing I'm trying to decide if I want is the navel. There's others that I think look cool, but I know I couldn't tolerate the pain.

Yeah! We had horses, cows, chickens, dogs, cats, and an occasional bunny rabbit. It wasn't like a commercial farm. They were just pets. My favorites were the chickens. I would always pick fresh grass for them and give it to them and they absolutely loved it. 😊

Oh no way! I had no idea you wrote books. I've never built any walls like that, but it sounds like it would be a lot of hard work. The only thing similar I did was putting up barbed wire fences when I was younger. That was no fun. I used to get so many scratches and cuts 😥
