Anyone who wants the Israeli nationality to be eradicated wants a genocide. That's what it means, to want that. So you don't get to claim that you care about genocides in general. You are yourselves would-be genocidaires.

You refuse to read about the persecution of a marginalized group that you hope to someday eradicate. But you're not bigoted, because...uh...reasons. Sure buddy.

Meanwhile, I love the show Pluribus so much, but it's weird to me that Carol isn't more curious about the origin of the signal. If I were her I'd be like "An ansible is the only thing that will make me happy, build me one." That'd keep them occupied for at least a few decades, too.

You don't think the clearly stated call for an Arab nation, and to forcibly destroy the refugee settlements, might have been a clue that no, Jews would not have been treated equally under an Arab government? That's how you normally approach the rights of the traditionally persecuted?

No one wants to address this, but it's true. The movement to destroy Israel is objectively pro-fascist.

As long as you insist that "within our lifetime" this one nationality has to be exterminated, stripped of their nationality and forcibly transferred to another, you will always be a reliable ally to the fascists, peeling off potential anti-fascist votes, claiming both parties are equally bad.

It was a catastrophically effective psyop, to convince young Americans that it was okay to call for the elimination of a certain nationality. Of course no political party can give you what you want, because it's a literal crime against humanity punishable by the ICC. The purpose is creating chaos.

And, again, there's a REASON it was so easy to get you to sign on to a genocidal ideology, when the target was THIS globally persecuted indigenous group.

Well I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but wanting a national group to cease existing is the most extreme form of hatred, genocidal, in fact. Go read the genocide law for yourself. You will see that national groups are a protected class. You don't get to make ANY nationality cease to exist.

That's why you have to lie that it was a conquest and colonization just like what Britain did to America, in order to justify your xenophobic hatred of a certain nationality. Be honest, you don't think there should be any such people as "Israelis," right? That nationality shouldn't exist, right?

Correct. It only justifies the recognition of a refuge state for the conquered people on areas of their heritage land where they formed refugee settlements once their colonizers decided to make it legal for them to purchase land.

Republicans heard Nixon say "When the president does it, that means that it is not illegal," and went "Yesss! This is the way!" And here we are.

It's literally just Manifest Destiny, and it's so frustrating that you don't see that. No, the Arab Conquest was NOT the Will of God, permanently stripping the conquered of their connection to the places their people originate. It was just a conquest done by men, like any other.

The Arab Conquest? Well that happened so long ago that it doesn't count as conquest and colonization, oh no. The descendants of THOSE invaders are the true indigenous people now, and the people they conquered are now a people originating nowhere.

You think Jews are white and Palestinians are brown, so therefore the Jews are white colonizers persecuting a brown people, right? Oblivious to the fact that most Israeli Jews are brown, descended from families that never even went to Europe after the Arab Conquest of their indigenous land.

Why would I want a persecuted indigenous people to never get a refuge state? That would be pretty fucked up.

YOU very clearly do not see Israelis as people.

Thwarting that attempted wrongdoing was the right thing to do. Britain was making up for its treatment of indigenous peoples in its colonies by protecting THIS indigenous group in the Levant. It's so incredibly twisted that your faction sees this as somehow wrong or an example of colonization.

Arab landlords sold land to Jews, knowing this was considered blasphemous to most Muslims in the region, with the expectation that when Britain withdrew, Arabs would forcibly seize the Jewish land back and destroy the indigenous settlements. Getting the money AND the land. A classic racist scam.

Britain didn't engineer anything. Jews started refugee settlements in their indigenous land to escape the constant persecution in Europe. This was allowed by the Ottomans after reforms made it legal for Jews to own land. The refugees got ripped off, paying exorbitant sums, to get some heritage land.

Do you understand what would have happened to those refugee settlements if Britain had declared they did NOT deserve any protection or sovereignty?

It was extremely progressive, actually, for Britain to only hold the land in trust, not declare it part of the Empire, owned by them. And it was incredibly "idpol" for them to decide that when the land was handed back to its people, part of it should be a refuge for a persecuted indigenous group.

No? The land was part of the Ottoman Empire, which considered it part of its Syrian province. Britain never owned any of the Mandate land, they were holding it in trust for its people, after the Ottoman government collapsed. It was in no way similar to the British conquest of America.

And the few non-Jewish people who were within that border when it was drawn were offered full equal rights, and that is why today they sit on the highest court in Israel, serve in the Knesset, and even in the IDF. There never had to be any war. It was a war of choice by nations that hated Jews.

The rest of the land was owned by the state. It's perfectly normal that the state-owned land would be part of the refuge state formed there, when a border was drawn around the indigenous refugee settlements.

Not all Jews are devout in Judaism. Many of them are atheists, even. But they are still of the Jewish people, part of the shared cultural history of that people. Still persecuted for being part of that people. Nazis never asked "Do you actually believe in Judaism?" before murdering them.
