The most aggressive girl was upset at me for intervening and kept telling me to stay out of it. “Shouldn’t you be in 8th grade right now?” I told her. I knew she was a few years older than that, but hard to tell. She was pretty stunned, but said “Ain’t no one here in 8th grade!”

Three girls were attacking the girl whose phone was smashed, so I hopped off my bike and pulled them off her. It was shockingly easy. They gave no resistance except yelling “mind your business. Who are you?!” at me. I just kept repeating, “Walk away. Walk away.”

As I biked by them on my way home, the yelling escalated. One girl grabbed the others phone and hucked it to the ground. The girl whose phone was smashed got in the phone thrower’s face and was then shoved and then it escalated immediately into a hair pulling, punching, kicking, tumbling mess…

I broke up a brawl at the park today.

I was playing tennis on my lunch break at my neighborhood park and during the final couple games we kept hearing a few teenage girls aggressively swearing at each other on the playground….
