It’s a wall hanging, 31” square. It is available as a large quilt too, but I’m trying to get some smaller projects done!

I’m nearing the finish line! The outer 1/8 sections are all assembled. I only have need to attach the center petals, and then it will be time for the final seams.

Today I finished up the C units, trimming and marking TRP lines, and removing papers. Since the heat index is over 100 degrees here in southern Minnesota, it was a good day to work in a nice cool basement!

As the orange Paladin drags us into WWIII, I plan to use sewing as my therapy to keep me grounded. And to hope to hell that no foreign powers are interested in bombing Minnesota.

The C units for the Jungle Magnolia quilt. The narrow green lines are appliqué.
Appliqué pieces for the leaf stems. They looked like green beans.
I only have the center green spikes left to sew on the other 14 half-leaves, and then all 32 pieces of the C units will be done! Last night I was making the 64 ”stems” that I appliquéd on the half-leaf sections today. They looked like green beans. And once I saw green beans, I couldn’t unsee them.

Definitely stock up on glue pens and refills (like Fons & Porter, or SewLine) because it makes the curved piecing easy. Hopefully you are signed up with a Quiltworx Certified Instructor - the vast majority are very good and very patient!

I actually like the wide, because each block is framed like its own masterpiece. But I don’t hate the narrow. Tough choice!
