Popeye: ... Sure. Panel 5 - (off panel) Swee'Pea(?): Yay! Hey Everybody! Hardtack's here! Popeye (to Brutus): Didn't expeck t'see ya here. Brutus: Hardtack's Mom is workin' a double shift. Panel 6 - Brutus: I didn't want him to miss Halloween. It's important to little kids. Popeye - I guess so. Brutus - Ya guess? Like you didn't love goin' to trick-or-treat? Panel 7 - Popeye: I never tricked no treats when I was a tyke. Brutus: You're lyin'! Panel 8 - Popeye: I grew up at sea, an fish don'sk give out candy. Brutus: I just can't - hold on! Say "Trick or Treat." Panel 9- Popeye: Trick 'R Treat? Brutus (smiling, now holding a piece of candy) - And what are you? A sea captain! Here you go! Panel 10 - Popeye (holding the candy and smiling): Thanks. It's the best trick-or-treat wot I ever had. Panel 11- Brutus: It's your only trick-or-treat! Popeye: Still counts! Arf! Arf! Panel 12 - Hardtack and Swee'Pea are looking at Brutus. Swee'Pea: Y'know, it's nice to know anyone can be friends. All it takes is a simple, kind act. Panel 13 - Hardtack: I told you. I'm not giving you my peanut butter cups. Swee'Pea: So this is how enemies are born.

I loved teaching at Durham Elementary. HISD removed me to ‘protect the culture.’ At 7:55 a.m., Mike Miles and his team swept through my room. By 3:45 p.m., I was being escorted to my car.

Why teachers are leaving in droves in places like Texas, Florida & Oklahoma. I may continue teaching next year, but to won't be in Texas.

If you call your GOP Rep to tell them something like your children deserve to learn and don't they dare touch the Department of Education, they don't know who you voted for. They don't know you hate them.

Use their staff's time and resources at the very least.
