For me personally, I think the route for monetizing work is to make physical goods and to start local. I’m lucky to have access to a print shop through my job and to live in a city with a decent-ish art scene, but fuck, making a book in a timely manner is the real challenge. Fear babbling rn

Also, I’m sorry, I’ve been asked a million times but I don’t know if I’d ever take commissions, at least not from everyone who asks. I’ve done a few before and I don’t think that kind of service is for me. I’d rather make something out of my own brain and try to sell that.

I also just don’t quite know what the avenue is, either. I always had too much anxiety to set up any proper infrastructure to take payment from people, and as shit’s been going I doubt right *now* is the time to start monetizing nsfw, and I don’t know if the sfw would sell.

Not that there’s any shame in doing so, the goal was to always make a living doing this and it’s stupid that I haven’t been doing so thus far. But I’ve spoiled myself on doing this out of passion while skipping the obligation part and I fear how finally acknowledging that will affect the work

The way things are going I feel like I have no choice but to figure out how to monetize my work and the thought makes me shudder
