It also feels like people lost the reason we read books at all… the point is to get the story. To learn something or experience something or just to go along for the ride. Whatever way the information enters your brain, it’s valid!

I have a free day Saturday and the last two weeks have been so busy that I need to do nothing, but the pull to try and see some sort of theatre is very strong. I’m trying to resist but I’m unsure if I can… #theaterinchicago

Yes! There’s always something to enjoy about a show. And I can’t stomach the thought of sharing online why I didn’t like something that a lot of hard work went into. That’s why I only share what I like on IG. I can’t tear down somebody’s art like that. And what do I know? I’m just a random person.

I better get my Spotify wrapped to tell me how much I like musicals and Taylor swift today.

And don’t even get me started on people dumping on art that a lot of people like but they think is bad. (*cough*great gatsby*cough*)

So many people think their opinion is fact. And instead of sharing “I didn’t like this because…” people say “this is bad because…” and it makes me so mad! When I hear someone saying something is objectively bad I want to scream. It’s art- it’s all subjective people!

I have SO MANY THOUGHTS on this! The age of social media is great for people sharing their thoughts on art- we have so many people to turn to who can help guide us on what they think of art so we have a better use of it we may like it ourselves. But it has also put us in a place where…

My favorite thing to do on cyber Monday is unsubscribe from emails from every company I no longer need to hear from. It makes my inbox so much happier.

Driving with my nanny kid today, obviously listening to #wicked, and from the back she goes “Lisa doing?” Which is her toddler way of asking what I’m doing and I had to explain this is what it sounds like when I’m singing a song that isn’t Elmo. It’s different. More enthusiastic. 😂

Yes! Love his Hermes!! I sat in the front row directly in front of him once and it was amazing.

Wicked was a perfect movie musical. No notes. Can’t wait to see it again in less than 24 hours.
