But many of them are both ecologically vital and experience more complex thoughts and feelings than the label βpestβ or βnuisanceβ can convey. From sharks & snakes to rats & wasps, via vultures, cockroaches, and even mozzies, I hope to encourage a rethink of these most misunderstood beasts.

From poisonings to collisions with power lines, vultures face many threats. But as they decline, so does their ability to control the spread of deadly diseases. Here's how one country is working to save them: https://therevelator.org/saving-zimbabwes-vultures/

Hi. It's me. 2 weeks later. This is done. 58 frames over 3 seconds, *50* layers in the final image. WOO. This was a long edit, felt like ACTUAL work so unless I get it again with the actual sunset I doubt I'll be editing more like this. Psyched for the final piece tho! πͺΆ

A BirdCast live migration map of the continental United States dated September 6, 2025, at 9:30 PM ET. The map shows an estimated 368.7 million birds in flight. Bright yellow, orange, and purple shading indicates migration traffic rates, with the highest concentrations across the Midwest, Southeast, and along the East Coast. Arrows show migration direction, generally trending southward. Green dots mark active radar stations, while red dots indicate inactive ones. A red vertical line marks the sunset/sunrise boundary. The western U.S. shows minimal migration activity, while the eastern half of the country glows with heavy bird movement.
368 million birds are estimated to be migrating right now! πͺΆ
