Raising Children: Safeguarding Children in Parental Deportation Decisions
The Home Office is not meeting its legal duty to safeguard children under Section 55 of the Borders Citizenship and Immigration Act 2009
New research reveals that thousands of children in the UK are having life changing decisions made about them without being heard. Read the joint report 'Raising Children: Safeguarding Children in Parental Deportation Decisions' here: www.liverpool.ac.uk/law/research...
17.12.2025 15:13 β π 4 π 3 π¬ 1 π 0π’ With increasing political focus on immigration enforcement and forced removal, and rhetoric about rolling back the human rights protection for family & private life, this research could not be more urgent.

At the time of writing, you can still submit refugee family reunion applications. However new applications will not be considered after 3pm on Thursday 4th September.
If you're eligible + planned to apply, we urge you to submit an online application as soon as possible, before this time.
1/ π§΅Family reunion is one of the only safe routes for refugees to reach the UK, yet the Gov is making it harder.
This shortsighted policy will only force people onto dangerous journeys to be with their families when the safe, legal option is taken away.
