In recognition of National Truth and Reconciliation Day the gallery at Sunbury Shores Art Centre will not be open for regular hours on September 30th, but we will be open between 12 - 3 PM so there is access to Indigenous Blue, an exhibition of paintings by Mi'kmaw artist, Brian Francis.

Join artist Tara Francis on Saturday, September 27, for a day of creativity exploring the use of traditional materials.

There was an error in our previous post. The opening reception for Kyla Chung's show, The Art of Balance, is August 8, 5 - 7 pm, not July 4.

We have open studio this Saturday (June 14) but we also have some special EARTHFest activities! Come by for the drop-in sessions to add to the arm-knitting and weaving installation, do some junk journalling, or visible mending. We will also have a workshop for visible mending at 1pm!

Ray Cronin, Director of Curatorial Programs & Curator of Canadian Art at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery will speak about Alex Colville (1920 - 2013) and his remarkable career as one of Canada's foremost artists. Cronin will reference his book on Colville, "A Rebellious Mind", 2018.
