10.10.2025 17:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Your mental health is just as important as your physical health β take it from a nurse.
I will always fight for policies that fund, support, and improve mental healthcare across PA.
PA's general election is on Tuesday, Nov. 4!

Yesterday, the House passed a reasonable, compromise, bipartisan budget and sent it to the Senate for us to consider. While Senate Democrats were ready to dig in and do the work, Senate Republicans packed up and went home. That's unacceptable. We must finish a budget now.
09.10.2025 15:05 β π 6 π 3 π¬ 0 π 1We had the opportunity to pass a state budget yesterday, but Senate Republicans chose to go home instead.
Stop playing politics with the wellbeing of our communities.
The PA'ns I talk to donβt want promises or platitudesβthey want the lights to stay on, they want their local services to be available, and they want the dignity of knowing that their tax dollars are being put to work for them.
No more games. Pass the budget.

The state budget is 100 days overdue and Republicans are still delaying.
Their inaction is hurting the 100,000 students who depend on financial aid grants from PHEAA. These students now have to take out new loans, burn through savings, or delay higher ed because Senate Rs are playing games.
Let's be honest. The PA budget impass isnβt gridlock, it's sabotage.β―Β
Senate Republicans think they are hurting Democrats by dragging out this process, but they're actually hurting working Pennsylvanians and the services they rely on.

Senate Republicans think they're hurting Democrats by dragging out the budget, but they're hurting everyday PA'ns.

People like Danielle, a speech therapist in my district who's had to reduce services and take a 25% pay cut to keep her practice afloat while early intervention funding is in limbo.
You can count on me to continue to stand on the side of science and affordable, accessible healthcare.
01.10.2025 19:32 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I'm thrilled that the Governorβs EO adopts a measure I've introduced with @senvincenthughes.bsky.social & @senpisciottano.com to require insurers and Medicaid to cover approved vaccines.
Political games and unnecessary cost barriers should never stop us from protecting our health and our families.
Take it from a nurse: vaccines save lives. π
Amidst the chaos and confusion surrounding federal vaccine recommendations, I applaud the actions Governor Shapiro announced today to provide clear, science-backed guidance and to protect vaccine access for every Pennsylvanian.
The PA Link to Aging & Disability Resources serving Montgomery, Bucks, and Chester Counties announced it will close its doors September 30th due to budget constraints.
Β
It doesnβt have to be this way. Iβm ready to vote for a budget that lifts Pennsylvanians up, rather than ripping services away.
As a member of the Governorβs Advisory Commission on Women, Iβd like to invite you to a special evening of education + conversation with menopause expert, Dr. Sharon Malone.

Those giving birth across PA deserve quality, accessible care so they can safely start families.
Last week, I moderated a panel at the SEPA Maternal and Infant Survival & Equity Summit to explore how we can work together to improve maternal and birth outcomes.
National politics and unnecessary cost barriers should never stop Pennsylvanians from protecting their health and their families.
24.09.2025 20:33 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβm proud to be introducing legislation with @senvincenthughes.bsky.social and @senpisciottano.com that would require insurance coverage for vaccines approved by the FDA and recommended by professional medical societies.
24.09.2025 20:33 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβve been appalled by the Trump Administrationβs continued attempts to create doubt and fear around established, science-backed vaccines.
We know that when vaccines are politicized and public health experts are demonized, public health suffers.
I'm working with @senatorcollett.com and @repvenkat.com on a bill that requires insurance companies to cover all vaccines recommended by health authorities regardless of the confusion coming from DC. Everything costs too much these days, so we need to keep healthcare as affordable as possible.
23.09.2025 21:00 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Today, I mourn with the officers' loved ones, and I'm grateful to all of our police and first responders who run towards danger to keep their communities safe.
18.09.2025 15:01 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I am absolutely devastated by the news of three law enforcement officers killed and two others critically injured in a senseless shooting incident in York County.

PennDOT recently approved SEPTA's last-ditch request to use capital budget dollars to cover some operating costs. This shift doesn't even fully cover the funding gap β fares are still set to increase.
I'll keep fighting for a budget that includes sustainable transit funding.

I've been fighting for paid leave since 2019, after hearing from constituents who struggled with financial stability while caring for a sick child.
Our bipartisan Family Care Act has advanced in previous legislative sessions, but our efforts continue to get it across the finish line.
I want to acknowledge Wednesday's horrific attack that killed Charlie Kirk and the tragic school shooting in Colorado that left several students critically injured. Violence in any and all forms must be condemned, yet these recent shootings reflect a disturbing pattern in our country. Together, we all must ensure that political violence never becomes normalized. My thoughts are with the victims and their families devastated by these senseless acts.
