I am disappointed to see the Kent stations left out of today’s announcement. I believe the decision by Eurostar is short-sighted. However, I will continue to fight and campaign to see international travel return to Ashford.

I had the honour of attending the Raising of the VE Day 80th Anniversary Flag & the Reading of the VE Day Proclamation event at Ashford Civic Centre this morning to remember those who gave so much so we can live in a free society today.

This is very positive news! Congratulations to the Business Secretary and the Government on their landmark deal.

India and the UK have many shared interests and I know this deal will be hugely beneficial to everyone!

Ahead of this week’s VE Day celebrations, I paid my respects at Hawkinge Cemetery’s Commonwealth War Graves.

There are 96 British military personnel buried here. They gave their lives in the Second World War so we can live in a free society today.

We must always remember them.

When I was elected to Parliament I said I would prioritise fixing our local healthcare services. These are my most spoken words in the House of Commons (so far!)
