Staying water wise during warm, dry spells Hello Joshua, As you've probably noticed, we've had lots of warm, dry weather recently. In fact, it's been the driest spring in 69 years. And while our water reserves are at a healthy level right now, continuing dry weather could see those levels drop. To help make sure we all have enough water over the hotter months, we're asking customers to please be mindful of their water use. If you can, avoid wasting water and fix leaky loos or dripping taps as soon as you can. This will help us keep reservoirs topped up and make sure there's enough water to go around during dry spells.

Reads: My parents started out with nothing, not a penny from their families. My mum was a dinner lady, Dad was a secondary school teacher. They paid off their mortgage in their 40s. As children we had a holiday abroad every year and multiple uk holidays throughout the year. They had a lease car which would be replaced every 3 years with a new one. They paid for mine and my sisters weddings and house deposits. They’ve travelled all over the world in their retirement and I’ve just found out they have £200k in savings. WTF?! DH and I have comparable careers, we run 1 old banger of a car, we have 1 uk holiday per year, we’ve stopped at 1 child, we’re on target to pay off our mortgage when we reach retirement, we have a grand total of £4k in savings. We don’t drink, don’t smoke, don’t buy expensive clothes.

The continual litigating of which half of Labour's vote to target is just crazy because it doesn't even have any policy implications! They *all* hate austerity, like the climate stuff, dislike crime and inflation.

This article is one of very many examples of a deeply engrained binary thinking leading people astray - a lot of people simply cannot conceive of politics as anything other than "Us vs One Opponent". That isn't how things are any more, and assuming or asserting it is will just bring more mistakes.
