It’s not for Keir Starmer, or whoever replaces him, to deny Scotland’s democratic right.

Scotland’s future is up to people in Scotland - and if the SNP win in May, we must have that choice. 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Update: it appears we may have support from SNP for this proposal, which is ggod news.

What about Lab, Lib Dems & Con? Are they content with 10-year delays to active travel projects, or will they take action to address this?

Clearly a miscommunication somewhere along the line - the SNP group will be supporting this.

LOCHEND NEEDS SAFE ROADS COMMUNITY DAY
It was a fantastic day attended by over 70 adults and children. We were joined by local fire fightes Fire & Rescue Service & St Andrews First Aid delivering trainings Dr Bike bike Service, Stina Sparkles Face Painting and local businesses.

Winners of our poster competition will be announced soon, thank you for all the amazing entries!
Thank you to Councillor Steven Jenkinson, Convenor of the Transport and Environment Committee and Councillor Danny Aston and Minister Ben MacPherson who came down to commit their support to the campaign and seeing real road safety improvements in Lochend.

It took a lot of luck, time and effort for @sarasheridan.bsky.social and myself to get a very small historical information board added near a cairn in the park, with considerable inside assistance, so it always irks me how easily a scheduled ancient monument and SSSI can be turned into a carpark

SNP Government vows not to cut Adult Disability Payment after UK benefit changes Social Justice Secretary Shirley-Anne Somerville said the Scottish Government "will not let disabled people down or cast them aside".

While Labour cut PIP across the UK, we won’t let disabled people down here in Scotland.

We will not cut Scotland’s Adult Disability Payment - our equivalent of PIP.

Council agrees on proposal to explore halt on new accommodation A proposal has been passed at a council meeting to explore a potential ban on new purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) in Edinburgh.

Councillors backed my call to look at a halt on new student accommodation yesterday.
Developers appear heedless of changing world around them. Vital then that @edinburghcouncil.bsky.social looks to act to rein in market.

I was quoted in Sunday's @scotnational.bsky.social - Prof Ken Gibb of Glasgow University agrees with my assessment that the student accommodation development bubble mascotny be bursting. Developers haven't recognised that yet, so @edinburghcouncil.bsky.social must look to act.

Edinburgh ban on new student housing blocks proposed amid fear of oversupply A councillor says that the city needs to step in and pause new private student housing blocks over concerns that the industry is in a bubble that is about to burst

I am proposing @edinburghcouncil.bsky.social explores halt to new student accom.
After bubble bursts, our city may blighted by white elephant student blocks no one wants. The Council must consider stepping in now to rein in the market before it's too late.

SNP claim Nigel Farage is to blame for cost of living crisis SUNDAY MAIL EXCLUSIVE: The party's Westminster leader said Farage is the reason why Scots are struggling financially

Brexit has cost the UK Β£140bn - Β£2000 per person - and sent prices skyrocketing.

Farage is the cause of the cost of living crisis, not the solution.

Will he apologise to Scots for the damage he’s caused tomorrow - or will he keep avoiding the obvious?

Sums it up. 15 yrs of Westminster austerity has caused misery, public services slashed & benefits cut, anaemic economic growth, fuelling Brexit vote & rise of Reform.

Labour promised change but are continuing failed Tory austerity. Scotland's only way for a better future is through independence.

The Prime Minister’s statement on immigration today will damage our economy, the NHS, social care and our universities. It ignores the need to boost Scotland’s working age population.

This sort of divisive language only plays into Nigel Farage’s hands.

Not in Scotland’s name.
