How, in 2025, is it even vaguely controversial that women should be able to chose whether the want to wear shorts or not playing sports?

I’m glad they put the camogie association in this position because it’s fucking absurd. “femininity” for performance sake serves nobody.

It's absolutely ridiculous. We've got girls coming up from last year's u14 team who are just like, "...You want me to wear WHAT?"

Surprised to see this picked up by Reuters - an Irish sporting organisation are forcing female players to wear skorts rather than shorts.

Today, two teams protested and wore shorts to the field
- and were forced to change for the game to go ahead.

If all camogie players continue to have to wear skorts, all referees and match officials should also have to wear them.
